Action Family Counseling
At Action Family Counseling, we believe in a comprehensive approach to recovery that empowers individuals to reclaim their lives from substance use disorders. Our Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) Program combines FDA-approved medications such as Vivitrol and Suboxone with evidence-based counseling and behavioral therapies, offering a holistic path to recovery for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and/or Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).
What is MAT?
MAT is a proven, research-based intervention designed to:
- Support Physical Recovery: MAT helps alleviate withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings that often hinder recovery efforts.
- Restore Brain Function: By addressing the physical and neurological impacts of substance use, MAT promotes mental clarity and stability.
- Prevent Relapse: Regular use of prescribed medications, such as Vivitrol or Suboxone, reduces the likelihood of returning to substance use.
MAT is not a standalone treatment but a critical component of a personalized recovery plan, working alongside therapy and support services to address the emotional, psychological, and social dimensions of addiction.
